1945 Buck Rogers & His Atomic Bomber Puzzles in Original Box
Incredible set of three complete "Buck Rogers and his Atomic Bomber" puzzles in their original box by Puzzle Craft Industries; all in extraordinary near mint condition. It's the first complete set of these puzzles I've ever seen. The box is the first I've seen as well and grades VG+. The puzzles feature 3 different 8½" x 11" full color illustrations drawn by Dick Calkins; Buck Rogers' original comic strip cartoonist. Each is copyrighted 1945 by the John Dille Co. Every piece to each puzzle is original and without any wear. The previous owner kept them separated with an acetate sheet to prevent rubbing. Here's what included. "BUCK ROGERS is attacked by the DEADLY MECHANICAL CLAW MAN, THE WILD BUSH HEADED APE AND THE GREEN SKINNED PYGMY" "While on Space Patrol, in his SUPER LIGHTNING ROCKET SHIP, BUCK ROGERS finds himself attacked by a squadron of Martian Jetships" "a horde of green man-eating goon men who have ferocious strength descends upon Earth" Box - complete with both original top and bottom sections. Cover top and aprons printed in full color. It uses the same images of Buck and the Claw Man from the first puzzle. Features a large "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" surrounded by a darkened energy blast. "and his Atomic Bomber" illustrated with speed and lightning lines across a green swatch.
